Websites and conversion

The site is usually blamed for problems that start upstream of it and credited with fixes that belong elsewhere. These separate the two, so the money goes where the constraint actually is.

Marketing for fire protection companies: two businesses, one website

Inspection work and installation work are different businesses with different buyers, different urgency, and different search behavior. Most fire protection websites present them as one service list with one contact form, which is why the enquiries arrive mixed, unqualified, and hard to route. Separating them is usually worth more than any amount of extra traffic.

Rebuild the website, or fix the one you have?

Ask an agency and you will usually be told to rebuild, which is worth noticing because a rebuild is the larger invoice and the one with a clean scope. Sometimes it is also the right answer. The way to tell is not how old or ugly the site is. It is whether the thing limiting you sits in the foundation or on the surface, and there is a test for that.

Your AS 1851 customers and your project customers are not the same market

Almost every Australian fire protection website is built as though there is one buyer. There are two, they arrive for opposite reasons, and one of them is not really shopping. Routine service demand is driven by a compliance deadline somebody else set. Project demand is driven by a specification. A single services page serves neither of them well.

Why does our website get traffic but no qualified leads?

Traffic without qualified leads usually points to an intent mismatch, a weak or unclear offer, missing trust, conversion friction, poor measurement, or slow sales follow-up. More traffic can make each problem more expensive.
